Getting your competitors banned from Google
Written by admin0 on February 29, 2008 – 3:28 pm -This will just be a short post (like most of mine), but i just wanted to expand on a post by XMCP123 on negative SEO.
First, i’d like to note that this is for educational purpouses only, i do not condone the use of this technique and i am not reponsable for anything resulting from it’s use.
I have been asked many times about how to get a competitor removed/penalized/banned from Google. Normally i decline to answer these questions because, as i said, i don’t condone the activity. However, since xmcp has already posted a few techniques, i figure “what the hell, why not?”.
Getting your competitors banned from Google:
One of the most popular link spamming techniques is forum spamming. I personally stay away from spamming forums because pissing off a forum admin/mod is the easiest/fastest way to get your sites banned. However, we can use this to our advantage by spamming forums with our competitors links. The forum admims/mods automatically assume that the person that spamed them owns the site that the links were posted for, because it normally is, so without thinking about it, they go to Google and report them. As xmcp said about the other methods, this may not work on bigger, more established sites like TechCrunch, but for the majority of sites that you would want to get banned, this will work.
Additional warning:
This techniqe can have unexpected results. A lot of the people that are willing to take the time to report you to Google are also willing to take the time to report you to your hosting company. And since most hosting providers act first and ask questions later, you could inturn cause your victims entire site to go down. If the site is bring in any kind of income (which i’m sure they do), you are causing a loss of revenue by doing this, which can turn it into a legal case if you are caught. You have been warned.

Doesn’t it also cause a loss of revenue if you simply got them reported to Google, who deindexed, or lowered their rank?
Either way, you are causing a loss of revenue.
